Have you ever been scrolling through Instagram and seen the posts from people talking about different brands/products? do you ever wonder why there's so many or what they're actually doing? Well that is brand advocacy at its best!


Brand advocates are basically third-party cheerleaders for your brand and they are a great way to have your brand promoted! They do this by using their personal social media pages to promote your brand. Brand advocates are a great word-of-mouth marketing tactic, so if you can find reliable people to promote your brand, its a good idea to do so!


Finding the right people can be tricky! Leveraging the people that are already within your circle can be a great place to start! This could be anyone from the people that like your content already, friends and family, or even employees! Employees are some of the best brand advocates because they work for you and want to see success within their company! By turning as many of these people into brand advocates, you're able to expand your reach and brand affinity. Brand advocates can also comes off as more authentic and credible to potential new customers because it isn't company-led. These are real people posting real sentiments about your brand! According to Hootsuite, "Incentives are a great way to show your appreciation and celebrate your brand advocates. You can also make the experience fun—or even gamify it—by running contests or fun challenges specific to your brand advocates. This will keep your advocates dedicated to your brand."
